Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India and is the stepping stone for becoming an actuary.

An actuary is a business professional who analyzes the financial consequences of risk. Actuaries use mathematics, statistics, and financial theory to study uncertain future events, especially those of concern to insurance and pension programs.

To become an actuary, the student must clear the Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India. ACET is conducted two to three times a year.

For students who have completed their class 12 this year (2022) can now take the ACET.

The IAI has announced the schedule for the ACET to be held in November 2022 and in March 2023:
November 2022 Exam:
- Last Date to Apply: 22 Oct 2022
- Date of ACET Exam: 26th November 2022

March 2023 Exam:
- Last Date to Apply: 17 February 2023
- Date of ACET Exam: 18th March 2023

ACET exam will be held in multiple cities across India.  

Eligibility: Students who have appeared or have passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
Hence, all students who have passed Class 12 in 2022 are also eligible.
Students who will pass out in 2023 will need to wait for the announcement of the June/July ACET exam.
